Kate's predominantly linear work finds its inspiration in the clash between the depressed urban zones of upstate New York and the relentless pace and population of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Her work finds its punch lines among the tragic and unimportant, testifying that there's something hilarious about something that's not funny at all.

Kate enjoys gasoline fires and tiger bites. She is regarded by peers as "questionable" and "overly questionable" and her professional aspirations include, but are not limited to, one day carrying an attache case on wall street on her way to a business woman's lunch.
